About

Fjord Play started as a group chat between a few friends who kept arguing about which mobile games were worth the storage space. At some point we decided to stop texting opinions and start writing them down properly, with the phone actually in hand and a battery meter open on the side.

We cover a wide spread of genres because that's how people actually play — one person wants a deep RPG for the train, another wants a quick arcade run while waiting for coffee. We don't chase trends for clicks; a game earns a review by being interesting to play, win or lose.,Every game gets the same treatment: we install it fresh, play for several sessions across a few days, and note how it handles touch controls, how aggressive the settings menu is, and whether a long session leaves the phone warm. If a game runs badly on mid-range hardware, we say so, because not everyone owns the latest flagship.,We're small and independent. Nobody pays us to like a game, and we'd rather write a short honest note than pad out a page to look busy. If a title bores us halfway through, that goes in the review too.
